Update on GST F5 - question on ASK PFC

Based on our recent clarifications with the IRAS on the use of the ASK Pre-filing Checklists ("ASK PFC") for completing the GST F5 return:

1. GST-registered businesses will only need to respond once a year to the question on whether the ASK PFC have been used to complete the GST returns. Hence, if you respond "YES", completion of the ASK PFC should just be a one-time exercise every year. If not, you will be asked the same question every time you submit your GST returns.

2. If you are registered for GST under a group registration, all the members of the GST Group are required to complete the ASK PFC individually before you can respond "YES" to the question.

(Exceptions may apply, but this is subject to negotiations with the IRAS.)

GSTax Consultancy will be able to assist you in completing the ASK PFC. Our fees for our services may also enjoy up to 400% tax deduction or 60% cash payout under the Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC). Please contact us at 6652 5509 or email: Ask@GSTaxConsultancy.com for more information.
