Career highlights 

• Selected to work in the GST Audit Division of the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and was instrumental in implementing the first “GST Workshop for newly registered traders” (1999)

• Winner of Quality Service Award at IRAS (1999)

• Posted to Australia with a Big Four accounting firm to implement GST (1999 - 2001)

​

• Returning to Singapore, worked with the Big Four accounting firm on all aspects of GST work related to business life cycle (2001 - 2012)

• Chair Organizer for EY Asia Pacific Tax Symposium, Thailand (2007)

• Lecturer at the Tax Academy of Singapore (2008 - 2011)

• Presented more than 250 public GST workshops and customised trainings during this time, including:

  • Guest speaker at a GST tax conference organised by the Malaysian Retailer's Association held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2012)

  • Guest speaker at an export clinic organised by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore to share the pertinent Singapore GST tax issues businesses should consider before venturing abroad (2012)
